Homework for Wednesday

Combine the sentences in each group to make one sentence. Some of your sentences will be simple, some will be compound, and some will be complex. Punctuate each sentence carefully. Write the sentences together as a paragraph.

First sentence:
  • (although) I love to go camping.
  • I love this in the summer.
  • I hate to sleep on the ground.
  • The ground is hard.
Second sentence:
  • (when) I get up in the morning.
  • I can hardly move.
Third sentence:
  • My back hurts.
  • My muscles ache.
Fourth sentence:
  • (when) We go camping.
  • We always forget something.
Fifth sentence:
  • We forgot to bring out tent.
  • This happened last year.
  • (so) We had to sleep in the open.
Sixth sentence:
  • I didn't sleep at all.
  • (because) I am afraid of snakes.
  • I am afraid of bears.
Seventh sentence:
  • (if) I see a snake.
  • I scream.
  • I run.
Eighth sentence:
  • (if) I see a bear.
  • I am frozen with fear.
Ninth sentence:
  • I don't know why I continue to go camping every year.
  • (because) I really don't enjoy it.
